GENERAL SUMMARY:
Perform skilled level work in the die production area, polishing dies for use in the manufacturing process. Assist tooling personnel as necessary to maintain Sunshine Minting’s production capabilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Previous die polishing experience preferred. Two years related experience or certification in field is preferred, but we will take an entry-level candidate with proven longevity. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend or kneel. The employee is continuously required to use hands and arms to reach, finger, handle, or feel objects and controls. The employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear.
The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

As a Die polisher, an employee will work in a cool to extremely hot environment, dependent upon project. There is exposure to fuels, oils, cleaning solvents and fumes from machinery. Additional personal protective equipment may be required (gloves and long sleeves must be worn when handling hot parts and dies). The noise level in the work environment varies depending upon project, hearing protection is required. Additional safety equipment may be required.
