The Analyst/Senior Analyst, Middle Office reports directly to the Director, Contract Management and will focus on daily activities related to processing trading activity, trade reporting, and providing contract management analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
•Assist in monitoring transactions and amendments to ensure trade accuracy in compliance with underlying documentation.
•Effectively communicate and coordinate with external Customers and internal Front Office and Middle Office teams to complete the confirmation process including investigation of differences in transaction terms.
•Assist in the contract review and coordination of approvals for execution of enabling agreements.
•Process daily reconciliation reports and identify parties requiring tax certificates or deals and/or counterparties requiring action to resolve reconciliation deficiency.
•Maintain a master inventory of subscriptions including annual budget allocations for multiple departments, process updates to users lists, and prepare invoices with appropriate departmental allocations. Coordinate all necessary documentation required for updates to Oracle records and monitor timely processing of invoices.
•Liaison with external Customers gathering/distributing documents in support of master reference data collection and customer vetting.
•Maintain contract documentation for all commercial business including quarterly reporting requirements to various teams throughout the company.
•Regulatory reporting support.
•Assist on any ad hoc projects or requests and cross-train to help handle daily functions of the broader Middle Office team to create efficiencies within the group.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Ideal candidate possesses knowledge of and has experience within Mid Office Operations in a commodity trading environment. This knowledge includes an understanding of the techniques and analytical tools used to validate and process commodity transactions, contracts and confirmations.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS)
Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
Experience:
•Analyst: Minimum two (2+) years relevant work experience, preferably in a commodity trading and/or marketing function. Understanding of gas marketing activities, including transportation, storage, financial transactions and trading platforms is preferred. OpenLink Endur experience is a plus.
•Senior Analyst: Minimum five (5+) years relevant work experience, preferably in a commodity trading and/or marketing function. Understanding of gas marketing activities, including transportation, storage, financial transactions and trading platforms is required. OpenLink Endur experience is a plus.

WORK CONDITIONS
•Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others.
•Occasionally, work may be performed from home, after normal work hours or on weekends however normal work hours are in-office only.
•Periodic travel as business requires.
