Job Summary:
The Assembler works in the Assembly department and is responsible for assisting in the assembly process and creation of medallions and awards. In this position you will work with those in your department and in others, to ensure a seamless creation process. You will be responsible for the final completion of products and ensuring that they are of the highest quality. You will work diligently as a team during every step of this process to document and complete it.
Objectives & Responsibilities:
•Assist with the operations of the Assembly department
•Partake in the assembly process and assist others in it
•Work Diligently to ensure the timely completion of medallions and awards
•Be able to visually ensure the high-quality completion of awards
•Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
•Cleans and maintains the Assembly area to Safety and Organizational Guidelines
•Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications or notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
•Collect and prepare all materials needed for Assembly
•Work with other team members to ensure a seamless workflow and timely completion of projects
•Is responsible for assisting in the completion of assembling medals
•Prioritization of workload
•Bases schedule on ship by dates and production needs
•Employees work as part of a team and communicate effectively with coworkers to accomplish the tasks of the company
•Assist in the detailed record keeping of Assembly Job: quantity produced, materials used, issues encountered
Skills & Qualifications:
•A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent degree
•Proven experience as an assembler or similar role is preferred, not not required
•Should rely on experience from previous jobs and use instructions provided and personal judgment to plan and accomplish department goals
•Able t perform a variety of tasks.
•Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines when completing work
•A high attention to detail is necessary
•Familiarity with Google Suite, specifically google sheets is preferred
Language Skills:
•The ability to read and understand manuals, rules, guidelines, and other such information in English.
•The ability to communicate both verbally and written, in English
Reasoning Skills:
•The ability to assess when there is a problem and step back from a machine
•The ability to properly interpret instructions and then put them into action.
Mathematical Skills:
•The ability to perform basic mathematical computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
•The ability to understand ratios and percentages and be able to convert them between one another
•Be able to understand the percentage of dimension
Physical Demands:
•The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
•This is a very active position where you are frequently required to stand and walk around as well as possess the ability to lift 25+ pounds consistently
•The ability to use the hands and fingers to reach, grab, and access things with fine motor skills
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Work Environment:
•The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
•There are loud levels of noise on the job less than 85 Decibels with irregular readings of over 100 decibels
•Required PPE mask and gloves required during this time
•Protective eyewear also required
•Despite unnecessary for the sound, ear plugs are available and required
