Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Backhoe Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating backhoes and other heavy equipment on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Backhoe Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks related to excavation, grading, and site preparation.
Duties
•
Operate backhoes and other heavy equipment, including bulldozers, loaders, water trucks, and dump trucks, to perform excavation and grading tasks.
•
Prepare construction sites by digging trenches, moving earth, and building foundations as required.
•
Ensure proper maintenance of equipment by conducting regular inspections and performing minor repairs as needed.
•
Collaborate with team members to ensure project specifications are met efficiently and safely.
•
Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating heavy machinery on-site.
•
Assist in paving activities as necessary to support project completion.
•
Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
•
Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with backhoes and bulldozers.
•
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
•
Valid commercial driving license preferred but not mandatory.
•
Ability to operate additional machinery such as loaders, water trucks, and dump trucks is a plus.
•
Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety regulations.
•
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with crew members.
•
Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks associated with construction activities.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
