Belt Conveyor Specialist

GMS is looking to add a Belt Conveyor Specialist in the Western US. This unique position requires an individual with strong business acumen combined with in-depth technical knowledge of belt conveyor systems. The ideal candidate will drive growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with clients, and providing expert knowledge and support for belt conveyor systems. This role requires both strategic thinking and technical expertise in the industrial sector. This position will be Monday through Friday and weekends as needed with a possibility of remote work. Up to 70% travel time could be expected.

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the belt conveyor and material handling industry.

· Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company growth targets and revenue objectives.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers.

· Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities.

· Negotiate and close deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business partnerships.

· Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling presentations and proposals for potential clients.

· Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company and enhance brand visibility.

· Provide technical expertise and consultation regarding the design, installation, and maintenance of belt conveyor systems.

· Assess clients' operational needs and recommend appropriate conveyor solutions that enhance efficiency and safety.

· Work closely with engineering teams to develop customized conveyor solutions based on customer specifications.

· Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to belt conveyor systems, providing ongoing support to clients.

· Perform regular inspections and evaluations of conveyor systems to ensure optimal performance.

· Provide training and technical support to clients on proper conveyor system operation and maintenance practices.

· Stay updated on the latest advancements in conveyor technology and best practices to offer cutting-edge solutions to clients.

· Mill maintenance experience is a plus
