CDL A Step Deck / Flatbed - Regional / OTR Truck Driver

Green PNW is looking for a highly experienced Class A OTR truck driver. Trucks are 2018 model years or newer. Must have exceptional driving skills, backing skills, be able to self manage and problem solve while on the road. We currently have step deck freight. We also do a mix of our own deliveries/pickups and power only loads for Amazon Relay. Experience with Relay also a big plus, being that we haul a mix of our own freight we have stable and long-term employment year-round. We also have consistent drive-away work to pickup Medium duty or Tractor/Trailers from various states back to our yard in Tualatin.

Parking, office, and shop is conveniently located all at our main yard in Lake Oswego. For regional we also have yards between Seattle and Sacramento. Flexible schedule and ability to decide home versus time on the road. Can be a regional driving position or run the entire 48. Dispatch takes great care of drivers and can be flexible in getting loads to specific areas or getting you back home as needed.

Need to have an insurable driving record with clean MVR, a valid Class A driver's license, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug and background screening.

Base pay is 0.55+ CPM or percentage of the load for Regional and OTR

Position is open for immediate hire, 1099 position

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Knowledge of I-5 corridor for regional and 48 for OTR

2. EXPERT truck driving skills

3. CDL Class A with valid medical card

4. Clean DOT Drug Test and MVR, registration with Clearinghouse.

5. Willingness to follow many specific and detailed instructions.

6. Reliable phone service and highly effective communication skills

7. Ability to drive in all situations and traffic conditions, exceptional backing skills, etc.

8. Keep a clean truck, look after equipment and present well to customers/shippers

9. Flatbed/Dry Van Experience and pulling 53’ trailers

10. Speak and understand English fluently

11. High level of ownership in your job, and good customer service skills - Take care and look after truck day-to-day without damaging equipment or customer property

12. Good understanding of heavy duty trucks to be able to diagnose and notice problems as they come up mechanically
