Key Responsibilities
•
Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and addendums
•
Accurately estimate labor hours, material quantities and equipment needs, and then price accordingly for concrete, masonry, earthwork and carpentry for hard-bid projects, as well as, design-build projects
•
Solicit subcontractor/material supplier pricing for all divisions of work per project requirements
•
Be capable of competitively bidding commercial construction projects ranging in size from $500K-$5M or above
Desired Skills Experience and Personal Characteristics
•
Must be a team player, detail-oriented with strong computer skills and be able to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment
•
2+ years of experience in commercial estimating of both public and private projects
•
Demonstrate prioritization, organization and time management skills
•
Ability to interact with Director of Estimating, Estimating Manager, Architects, Designers and Owners
•
Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and work independently with minimal supervision
•
Willing to work 45+ hours per week on a regular basis
