A rapidly growing Solar Utility EPC with BESS Projects are hiring 4-5 Commissioning Engineers to join the team for contract-to-hire opportunities! These next projects are primarily in Texas, AZ (outside of Phoenix) and Southern CA.

Compensation - 40/hr-$55/hr + Per Diem

Scope of responsibilities:

· Commission projects working in cooperation with multiple project stakeholders including construction managers, contractors, suppliers, automation teams, control systems teams, etc.

· Develop and support commissioning plans including resourcing and scheduling.

· Create professional commissioning and testing reports for internal stakeholders and external customers.

· Drive continuous improvement on developing and capturing technical problem-solving knowledge to enable other organizations to effectively resolve customer problems and inquiries.

· Define, develop and execute testing protocols based on market rules, local utility requirements, off-taker and third-party supply contracts.

· Oversee complete commissioning and acceptance testing of the solar systems.

· Perform electricity market and/or off-taker qualification testing as required for the project to commence commercial operations.

· Commission projects working in cooperation with multiple project stakeholders including construction managers, contractors, suppliers, automation teams, control systems teams, etc.

· Develop and execute commissioning plans including resourcing and scheduling.

· Define, develop and execute testing protocols based on market rules, local utility requirements, off-taker and third-party supply contracts.

· Oversee complete commissioning and acceptance testing of the following systems: 1) project networks, communications, and control systems; 2) balance of plant relay protection, metering, HVAC, fire suppression, and electrical systems; 3) battery subsystem; 4) inverter subsystem.

· Perform electricity market and/or off-taker qualification testing as required for the project to commence commercial operations.

Qualifications:

· BS in Engineering, Math or similar field is a big plus

· 0-10+ years of Commissioning experience

· Open to working onsite 100% of the time with paid flights home every 3-4 weeks

· Strong interest or experience with BESS Commissioning

· Battery experience is a huge plus

· SCADA and Inverter experience is preferred

· Power generation or solar experience is preferred

· Able to pass a drug and background check

· Safety oriented
