The successful candidate will service, troubleshoot, install and repair compressors and equipment, salt water transfer pumps, turbines, pumps and other equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
•Daily repair, maintenance, trouble-shooting, preventive maintenance and start-up of natural gas compressors on scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs, maintenance, swaps, installs, and releases.
•Responsible for submitting accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork.
•Maintains and prepares reports for pressure readings and service orders.
•Responsible for adjusting controls and valves, regulating pressures and monitoring meters.
•Maintains records of meter and gauge readings to determine the temperature, amounts of gas received and dispensed, pressure and consumption rate variations.
•May collect gas samples for testing.
•Follows all Environmental, Health & Safety procedures.
•Supports field production activities as needed.
Education and Experience:
•High school diploma or equivalent. Technical courses or certificate in mechanics, mechanical, or industrial desirable.
•5 years diesel, mechanical and technical experience with natural gas compressors in an oil and gas production environment.
•Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Barnett Shale. Working knowledge of State and Federal oil and gas regulations.
•Experience in well operations (gas lift, plunger lift, pumping units).
•A self-starter who can get the job done with minimal supervision.
•Regularly drives to various field sites across company acreage to work.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
