Custodian - Labour Pool

The Opportunity: Location: Nova Scotia - Lingan & Point Aconi Generating StationsClosing Date: March 8th, 2025Company, Department: Nova Scotia Power, Power ProductionSalary: $22.73 per hour, as per the NSPI/IBEW Collective Agreement

We are currently looking for a Custodian to join our Power Production team in a flexible term labour pool. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient performance of janitorial duties.

Key elements of this role include::

As a Custodian:* You will be responsible for the safe and efficient performance of janitorial duties including but not limited to sweeping, stripping floors, wet mopping, dusting and cleaning hallways, lunchrooms, offices and washrooms in designated areas of the plant.

You will be responsible for personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives. These skills will make you successful::

You recognize yourself in most of the following competencies, and where possible possess the skills and experience listed below:* A Grade XII education or equivalent or reading and writing skills necessary to safely and effectively perform the duties of the position, is required.
