The Cybersecurity Intern will assist the cybersecurity team in monitoring systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and supporting security initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in cybersecurity and flexible hours to accommodate the intern's academic schedule. All work must be done onsite.
Essential Functions
•
Monitor network traffic and logs for security threats.
•
Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing and follow up to ensure issues from the penetration test are remediated.
•
Assist in maintaining security tools and systems.
•
Help investigate security incidents.
•
Assist with patch management and system updates.
•
Organize security documentation and reports.
•
Collaborate with IT teams to mitigate risks.
Minimum Qualifications
•
Enrolled in a Cybersecurity, IT, or related degree program.
•
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools.
•
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•
Ability to work independently and in a team.
•
Good communication and attention to detail.
•
Flexible, part-time availability (8-10 hours per week)
