Term type: Full-Time and Part-time
•Job location: Calgary, AB – Head Office
•Work schedule: 5 x 2 – 8 hours (Monday – Friday) for full-time schedule
•July to August is full-time, and September to December is part-time, with part-time being a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Key Accountabilities:
•Develop application/integration components to automate and streamline business processes and functions using C#, Python, SQL, other scripting language as well as vendor tools like Informatica, Databricks, Azure Data Factory and others
•Develop data conversion scripts to load data from external sources, and correct data quality or integrity problems
•Develop analytic reports using Power BI, Tableau or SSRS
•Develop job schedules using tools like Orchestrator
•Develop estimates of effort for development of, and/or modification to, application/integration components
•Develop and maintain technical specifications and documentation
•Troubleshoot, debug and fix problems that occur in the everyday use of an application/interface or SQL query
•Administer data access for SSRS, Tableau and Power BI users
What You Bring to the Role:
•Preference for 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate degree in Information Systems
•Familiar with SQL and database query tools such as Oracle SQL Developer an asset
•Familiarity with one or more of the following technologies an asset:
+ DevOps, Microsoft VB.NET/ASP.Net, C#, Microsoft Visual Studio, MS SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Composite UI Application, Remedy, Application Manager (Appworx), Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, Orchestrator, MS Azure, Python, Scala, Databricks, Synapse, data lakes and delta lakes, and Informatica
