Join our team as a Day Porter and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all building occupants and visitors. This full-time position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm. The Day Porter is responsible for ensuring that all common areas, restrooms, entrances, and exterior spaces are kept in excellent condition throughout the workday. This is an immediate hire opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy providing exceptional service in a professional setting.
Responsibilities
•
Inspect and maintain cleanliness of all lobby and common areas, including stairwells, elevators, corridors, and break areas.
•
Check restroom facilities before and after shift changes; restock and replenish supplies as needed.
•
Empty trash receptacles at front entrances and restrooms regularly.
•
Keep building entrances clean at all times, including spot cleaning interior and exterior glass doors.
•
Inspect and maintain the cleanliness of outside areas by removing litter from the building perimeter.
•
Implement inclement weather procedures, such as placing wet floor signs and mats as needed.
•
Respond to office area requests and provide assistance as required.
•
Assist with special projects throughout the day, such as maintenance tasks, meeting room setup, and spill clean-up, as directed by management.
•
During downtime, assist patrons in common areas by providing directions and support as needed.
Qualifications
•
Ability to work the scheduled hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm.
•
Capable of performing physical tasks associated with cleaning and maintenance duties.
•
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
•
Good communication and customer service skills for assisting building occupants and visitors.
•
Ability to follow instructions and respond to requests from management and staff.
