Primary Duties
Job Scope
Must possess and maintain a Master Electrician’s license in good standing in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New Jersey. Will be responsible for maintaining the license.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications Required:
Some high school or vocational school education or equivalent.
Must have proper temperament for dealing with customers.
Must possess and maintain a Master Electrician’s license in good standing in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New Jersey. Will be responsible for maintaining the license. Company will pay reasonable expenses such as course fees, annual license fees, etc.
Willing to work a rotating shift and/or scheduled hours.
Must be able to work from a ladder.
Must have or be qualified to obtain promptly the required vehicle operator’s license.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language.
Must be available for overtime or standby as needed.
Must pass qualification test prior to Company awarding job.
Position is a scheduled position.
Physical Effort Required
Strenuous reaching, abnormal positions, walking, stooping, and climbing.
Preferred Qualifications
Must hold a Delaware Board of Electrical Examiners Master Electrician License and must maintain certification licensure.
Performs skilled technical electrical duties to operate, regulate, maintain and repair facilities critical equipment such as generator, UPS and switchgear, lighting, heating and air conditioning systems, air compressors and associated equipment.
Performs other related facilities duties as assigned. Such as but not limited to minor facility electrical repairs, install and remove system furniture components, minor carpentry & painting. Individual may have to work in lower job classification at times.
External Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years Commercial Residential Electrical experience. - Hold a current Delaware Board of Electrical Examiners Master Electrician License and must maintain certification licensure. - Perform facility electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with local and national electrical codes. - Conduct troubleshooting, identify issues, and provide effective solutions for facility electrical systems. - Experience demonstrating skill maintaining, repairing, and installing lighting, ballasts, and occupancy sensors. - Experience demonstrating skill interpreting and applying instructions, specifications and procedures (for example vendor reference material, OEM manuals, etc.). - Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. - Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of projects. - Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. - Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects. - Ability and willingness to travel to various Company locations and job sites. - Ability and willingness to perform emergency and or lower classified work as assigned. - Ability and willingness to perform both indoor and outdoor tasks for extended periods of time (for example, lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders and scaffolding, working in rigging, bending, twisting, kneeling, crawling, pulling pushing, standing, walking, and squatting). - Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding and mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic platforms at varying heights. - Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including all weather conditions, at extreme heights, on or around energized electrical equipment, alone in remote areas, in confined spaces or enclosed vessels, and in noisy and dirty environments with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (e.g., example safety glasses, di-electric safety shoes, electrically insulated rubber gloves and sleeves, hard hat, fall protection harness.) - Ability and willingness to wear an issued uniform and carry equipment. - Ability and willingness to work on holidays, weekends, overtime and shift work as required. A copy of your Delaware Board of Electrical Examiners Master Electrician License must be included along with your resume and or application in order to be considered for this position. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must successfully pass a Criminal History Background Check which consists of a 7-year criminal records check for felony convictions. Must successfully pass a Medical Screening to include a Drug Test. This position is a NERC Regulated position. As such, a background check will be conducted on the incumbent every seven years. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to complete annual NERC compliance training. Preferred Qualifications - External - Experience demonstrating skill operating Building Automation Systems and controls. - Experience demonstrating skill with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). - Experience demonstrating skill installing and troubleshooting HVAC system electrical components. - Experience demonstrating skill installing and maintaining voice, data and or other low-voltage cabling systems.
