About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee residential electric installs, as well as oversee residential field operations. This person will have a high-level understanding of residential electric and will have a proven track record of leadership. This person will run a crew of 10 mechanics, ensuring projects are performed in a safe and quality manner. This person will also review, scope and perform residential electric for solar installations as needed. This individual will work with the Residential Project Manager and Crew Leads to ensure timely completion of work, client satisfaction, worker safety and conduct project QA.

General Duties:

•

Travel to job sites and oversee all on-site activities for solar installation projects. Project locations vary from Nassau, Suffolk, The Boroughs, Westchester area (majority of projects are on Long Island)

•

Be able to review, select and size appropriate material for install.

•

Work actively with mechanics to solve on site issues

•

Preform residential service upgrades as needed.

•

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues.

•

Knowledge of DC wiring is a plus

•

Review compliance with both contractual obligations and AHJ approved plan sets

•

Ensure compliance with safety and company protocols

•

Coordinate and communicate with project managers and customers to resolve issues and maintain project flow

•

Monitor and manage field hours and attendance

•

Inspect work to ensure quality and adherence to company standards

•

Maintain material inventories

•

Oversee site safety, including conducting regular safety meetings and ensuring all personnel follow proper safety protocols

•

Train and mentor workers with new equipment and up to date practices

Requirements:

•

5+ years electrical experience. Solar experience is a plus

•

Clean / Valid Drivers License

•

OSHA 30 required, SST Card is a plus

•

Strong knowledge of NEC Code

•

Strong of International Building Code

•

Strong leadership skills

•

Strong communication skills

•

Motivated self-starter, strong problem-solving abilities and strong self-initiative

•

Ability to use project management CRMs and update electronic records accordingly

•

Ability to work on pitched roofs

•

Ability to push/pull/lift heavy equipment

•

Comfortable with working outdoors

Salary based on experience
