We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.
Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.
This position will be filled commensurate with the successful candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and education:
Performs and/or reviews engineering calculations, analysis, research and design. Provides cost analysis as needed and develops recommendation based on calculations (e.g., cost for equipment upgrade) for leadership review. Under direction of supervisor or work leader, exercises independence in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard or well-defined engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Uses independent judgment in prioritizing and making moderately complex adaptations and modifications. Assignments have clear and specified objectives and require investigation of a limited number of variables.
Engineer: Second level position in the engineering series provides engineering support in designated company area, or specific engineering discipline. Fully competent role.
Senior Engineer: This role is the top progression level position in the engineer series. Includes senior to technical expert engineers, able to perform difficult and complex work requiring thorough knowledge of the subject matter and significant experience within functional assignment area.
Engineer or Senior Engineer – Substation Engineering Standards
An Engineer or Senior Engineer in ET Engineering Standards – Substation Civil/Structural Standards would be responsible for:
Engineer: 3+ years of relevant engineering experience or demonstrated equivalent (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications; an advanced degree can count as one year experience)
Solid understanding of Civil/Structural fundamentals
Understanding substation design is strongly preferred.
Senior Engineer: 5+ years of significant directly related experience or (5+ years of research engineering work experience on directly related projects for the electric utility industry. Work on such projects may be accomplished as part of an Engineering PhD program [completed and graduated by December 31st, 2025] on its own or in combination with additional research engineering work experience on directly related projects for the electric utility industry)Required Degree (equivalency not accepted in lieu of required degree):
