Field Operations Specialist

Job Overview

The Operations Specialist assists branch operations on roof installations, including managing materials, checking installation quality, coordinating with subcontractors for onsite needs, and assisting the rest of the Apex team. The position requires an understanding of Apex’s goals, knowledge of roof construction and best practices, ability to communicate and manage time at a high level, and focus on team success. The Operations Specialist helps organize, direct, and evaluate both subcontractors and to deliver quality roof installations and maintain a high standard of customer service during and after project completion.

Essential Functions

1. Assist with installation processes to ensure timely and properly installed roofs for customers; assistance to include checking crew safety, materials needs, and trash removal/dump trailer swaps

2. Assist the Branch or Operations Manager with material order forms and work orders ahead of roof installations

3. Monitor job progress, evaluating crew performance, safety compliance, and installation quality across active jobs

4. Coordinate with Branch or Operations Manager to address permit inspection corrections

5. Provide feedback to branch management, sales reps, and crews about customer issues and problems

6. Coordinate with Branch or Office Manager about project close-out needs (final inspections, corrections, change orders, etc.)

7. Assist with call-back and repairs needs on roofs under workmanship warranty; with Branch or Operations Manager and subs to complete repairs in a timely manner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
