General Support

POSITION TITLE: General Support

Perform various duties to visually inspect incoming parts, match to prints and routings, and prepare parts for processing by masking, protecting, and grit blasting. Perform limited thermal spraying, fusing, and other general assistance and material handling under direction of others.

Work from prints, routing sheets, established methods and procedures, or other written or verbal information or instructions.

1. Inspect incoming parts visually and dimensionally against prints and routings to assure identification and quality of parts before processing. Mask areas as indicated with heat resistant tape, other masking materials, and plug holes as required.

2. Operate various fixed and portable grit blasting equipment with a variety of designated grits and pressures to clean and prepare parts for metal spraying. May perform some routine spraying and fusing operations under the direction and observation of others.

3. Perform other duties to assist operators such as lifting, transporting, mounting parts, setting up jobs, etc. Assist maintenance person, others as directed.

4. Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition. Report material or equipment problems to the supervisor. Follow all safety rules and regulations and employ all safety equipment and devices.

Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
