Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic - Shop

Job Overview:

We are seeking a full-time year-round skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Heavy Equipment Machinery repair and maintenance, possess strong technical skills, and be committed to providing high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical, transmissions, and hydraulic systems

- Knowledge of Hydraulic, and air brake systems, ability to diagnose and repair.

- Experience with Tier 4 Emissions and CAT ET software or equivalent

- Perform routine maintenance on diesel equipment and vehicles

- Use power tools to inspect, repair, and maintain machinery

- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately on pickup trucks, as well as various Semi trucks and MB/Oshkosh Brooms and plows.

- Work on a variety of diesel engines including Caterpillar models 906 to 980 Loaders.

- Fabricate parts as needed for repairs

- Use technical manuals for troubleshooting guidance

-Welding and fabrication as required

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role

- Proficiency in using power tools and diagnostic equipment

- Familiarity with Caterpillar engines is a plus

- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics and repair techniques

- Ability to fabricate parts when necessary preferred

- Strong skills in equipment repair and maintenance

- Brass Hammer

- Mirror/magnet pickup tool

- Large wrench set

- Socket set

- Vice-grip plier set

- Prybars

- Deadblow hammers

- Various pressure gauges for diagnosis

- Other equipment as needed
