Location: Premier Mine Site, 25 kms. Northeast of Stewart, British Columbia
Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the Heavy Duty Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. The work primarily in industries such as construction, mining, transportation, and agriculture. The Heavy Duty Technician will foster a health and safety culture of Zero Harm while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental provincial and federal regulations, legislations, and policies.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
· Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
· Repair and replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
· Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
· Perform welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as required.
· Keeping accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
· Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
· Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and repair techniques

· Completion of a recognized heavy-duty mechanic apprenticeship or relevant certification.
· Proven experience as a heavy-duty mechanic, preferably in a similar industry.
· Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
· Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
· Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
