Heavy Equipment Operator / Crane Operator

Herberger Construction Company, Inc. is a primarily a heavy highway construction company based in Indianola, Iowa. Our primary focus is bridge construction, but we also drive piling and construct flood and retaining walls, pump stations and culverts. Herberger Construction received an AGC award from a committee of peers, based on quality of work, job particulars, budget and other criteria.

We are a 3rd generation company that has been in business in Iowa for over 60 years. While we primarily operate in central Iowa, we have built bridges in all 99 Iowa counties and completed a bridge in Lawrence, Kansas in 2009.

Operate Crawler friction cranes on our construction projects in the state of Iowa. Crane operating duties include, pile driving, vibratory hammer, clam shell work, swinging concrete and rebar, these are needed but we are willing to train the right person if they know basic crane operating practices. Person must be responsible, safe, and hard working with basic lifting and rigging knowledge, and fluent with hand signals.

Some operating experience needed on: Excavators, loaders, and dozers.

Salary Range: $33.65 to $334.65 depending on location of projects including a union fringe benefit package. Per diem also available depending on location of home address to project location.
