Advanced Equipment Operation and Training

•

Proficiently operates multiple types of heavy equipment used in a landscape rock quarry, such as loaders, haul trucks, and crushers (if applicable), demonstrating exceptional skill and efficiency.

•

May be responsible for training new operators on safe and proper equipment operation procedures.

•

Adapts to changing operational demands, readily switching between different equipment types as needed.

•

Contributes to the optimization of production processes by identifying opportunities to improve equipment usage and efficiency.

Plant Maintenance and Troubleshooting

•

Performs a wide range of preventive maintenance tasks on various equipment and machinery, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing downtime.

•

Possesses the knowledge and skills to troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions, diagnosing problems and taking corrective actions to maintain production flow.

•

Maintains a proactive approach to equipment care, conducting regular inspections and identifying potential issues before they escalate into major breakdowns.

•

Performs mechanical tasks like bearing changes, shaft replacements, and belt splices, reducing reliance on external mechanics for basic repairs.

Safety Leadership and Production

•

Champions a culture of safety on the job site by strictly adhering to all safety protocols and procedures while operating equipment and performing maintenance tasks.

•

Sets a positive example for other operators, promoting safe work practices and a strong safety awareness.

•

Contributes to meeting and exceeding production targets by operating equipment efficiently and ensuring minimal equipment downtime through proper maintenance.

May participate in production planning meetings, providing insights on equipment capabilities and potential improvements.

Communication and Collaboration

Maintains clear and concise communication with supervisors, mechanics, and other operators regarding equipment status, maintenance needs, and production updates.
