We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Landscape Designer/Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will meet with clients to understand their vision and design custom landscape plans that reflect both their needs and their budget. You’ll then transform those concepts into proposals and help guide clients through the sales process—ensuring a seamless transition from design to installation.
This position requires a unique blend of creativity, customer service, technical knowledge, and sales expertise. You will also oversee installation projects, working closely with our crews to ensure timely, high-quality execution. Candidates must have prior experience in landscape design and sales to be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
•Meet with clients to assess needs and create custom landscape designs within budget
•Prepare detailed, accurate proposals that ensure project profitability
•Present and communicate design concepts clearly to clients
•Provide genuine customer service and maintain strong client relationships
•Supervise and support installation teams to ensure work meets design intent and production schedule
•Design conceptual plans and translate your proposals
•Communicate regularly with team members to ensure smooth project flow
•Take ownership of project timelines and completion
•Stay current with industry trends and attend training as needed
•Contribute to a team culture by being flexible, dependable, and proactive
Basic Qualifications:
•Must Have 5-10 years proven sales experience in landscape design, outdoor construction, or exterior sales.
•Proven ability to generate $1M+ in revenue with a strong sales record.
•Strong project management skills – oversee installations to ensure they align with design plans.
•Excellent client relations – act as the main point of contact for clients and crews, answering questions and solving problems.
•Knowledge of codes and building practices; GC license a plus but not needed.
•Experience selling landscape and carpentry projects (decks, cabanas, pergolas) and managing subcontractors.
•Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
•Education or experience in construction, horticulture, or landscape architecture
•Strong plant identification knowledge
•Professional and pleasant demeanor with excellent communication skills
•Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and be highly organized
•Strong work ethic, punctuality, and consistency
•Great listening, presentation and closing skills
•A quick-thinking, problem-resolving attitude
