MSALABS is an experienced global provider of geochemical laboratory services to the exploration and mining industries in Canada, the USA and around the world. We have a rapidly growing network of laboratories in key mining regions around the world to limit lead times and transit costs and we employ the latest hi-tech analysis equipment.
We are looking for a dedicated and detail orientated self-starter who has the following skills and experience:
Responsibilities:
•
Monitor and manage productivity levels and performance.
•
Ensure accurate and timely data entry and work order write-up.
•
Coordinate the logistics of sample pickup.
•
Ensure all quality control procedures are being followed.
•
Perform monthly production and safety meeting.
•
Carry out Sample Preparation procedures in accordance with documented SOP’s or recognized standard reference methods.
•
Report any deviation from documented procedures to the Sample Preparation Supervisor.
•
Inform the Laboratory of any unsafe conditions within the department.
•
Follow all HSE protocols.
•
Some lifting is required, up to 50lbs.
•
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
•
Sound numeracy skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
•
Proven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels.
•
Proven ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.
•
Ability to quickly learn new information, processes and procedures.
•
Proven ability to meet deadlines and identify and deal with problems.
•
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite, Word & Excel
•
High School education is a pre-requisite.
•
1-2 years’ experience in Sample Preparation at a commercial laboratory or equivalent experience in a position of manual labour such as construction.
•
Ability to interact with different cultures.
•
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
•
Previous experience with the use of a pallet jack is an asset
•
Some physical lifting, up to 50 pounds, is required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
