Checon, LLC, a division of Alloy Holdings, LLC is currently recruiting for a Logistics Operator at our Glens Falls, NY location. This position is responsible for receiving materials from production and/or selecting materials from stock required to fulfill daily sales order requirements and packaging according to customer requirements and internal procedures. Additionally, candidate will understand and execute all logistics processes with a high level of attention to detail and zero errors.

Essential Job Duties Include:

•

Receive, pick, pack, store, transport, handle, and manage all materials in the supply chain while preserving their quality and inventory accuracy through timely matching of transactions at all times

•

Learn to follow and execute the proper packaging and processing of all customer orders while maintaining accurate and timely inventory accounting of all materials

•

Participate in the process to establish the daily ship list daily

•

Weigh and label internal stock and customer ordered materials accurately in the proper unit(s) of measure while applying the proper gross, net and tare weights

•

Deliver orders in SAP and Traffic to relieve inventory and produce the required documentation for customers and shipping carriers

•

Learn to assign and schedule shipments with carriers including domestic small package, LTL trucks, customer 3rd party logistics services and export broker services

•

Participate in the counting and weighing of physical inventory 4X year

•

Support a safety culture by following all safety rules. Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized workspace

Qualifications/Requirements:

•

HS Diploma or GED Required

•

Experience in material handling, packaging, shipping, receiving or similar

•

Some experience ERP systems and/or barcoding systems used for inventory management

•

Good memory and logical thinking, high level of attention to detail

•

Organized, self-structured, self-driven.

•

Practical approach, straightforward and communicative.

Physical Requirements/Safety:

•

Ability to lift and carry volumes weighing up to 50 lbs.

•

Ability to operate lifting devices (overhead cranes), ability to operate stacker or fork truck
