About This Job

As a Manager of QA and Compliance (Field Operations), you will be instrumental in ensuring internal and external regulatory compliance, maintaining quality assurance, and implementing damage prevention strategies. Your responsibilities include upholding compliance policies for natural gas operations, staying abreast of industry regulations, and managing quality systems to ensure safety and reliability. You will address locate contractor quality issues, provide staff training, and serve as a liaison with the Texas Railroad Commission. Additionally, you will support pipeline safety and new construction audits, design and monitor damage prevention programs, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with stakeholders to protect our natural gas infrastructure.

What You Will Do

Oversees and directs employees in construction, maintenance, installation, and operation of transmission and/or distribution pipeline systems.

Manage and direct employees in construction, maintenance, and operation of pipeline systems.

Manage and direct employees performing various functions including:

Corrosion control
Leakage survey
Regulation/measurement
Operating clerical

Oversee installation and operation of transmission/distribution facilities including:

Measurement/regulation settings

Pipeline junctions

Determine priority of pipeline/operating projects and most cost-effective use of manpower.

Provide information and assistance to customers, plumbers, inspectors, employees, and others relative to company activities, policies, and procedures.

Coordinate and/or communicate with other departments, regions, and General Office management related to projects and operations.


Compile, prepare, and/or verify information including:

Operations reports

Accident reports
Employee documentation
Customer correspondence
Capital tools and equipment budgets

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.


What You Will Need

Experience in and thorough knowledge of operating functions, policies, and procedures including corrosion control, leakage survey, and measurement and regulation.

Experience in construction, maintenance, and operation of pipeline systems and appurtenances.

Experience analyzing pipeline system operations and functions and determining feasibility and priority of projects.

Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including accessing mainframe computer applications.


Application of math and algebraic formulas.

Ability to coordinate work projects for most effective use of personnel and equipment; and comply with safety requirements.


Experience and training related to:

Distribution and transmission pipeline operations

Customer service policies and procedures applicable to position
Company/governmental safety procedures
Emergency response procedures
Communications skills/customer relations

Experience interacting, advising, assisting, and communicating effectively.

Experience training, directing, and supervising; working knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.

Experience analyzing, compiling, and/or preparing capital budgets, work force utilization, reports, policies, procedures, and correspondence.

Experience reading and interpreting manuals, reports, governmental regulations, job orders, permits, codes, engineering plans, maps, job specifications, policies, procedures, and correspondence.


Experience developing information and conducting group meetings.

Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Minimum Applicable driver's license to travel to construction and maintenance job sites


Oklahoma and Texas: CDL preferred

Mobility to travel in office surroundings and around job sites out of doors.


Able to operate tools and equipment required.

Able to communicate and/or exchange information or instructions.


Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
