Qualifications

Seeking a creative and self-motivated individual with good communication skills and willingness to work with people with a variety of backgrounds to support and develop materials for commercial emi applications.
MS in Materials Science or Chemical Engineering.
5-7 years’ experience working in a research environment.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
Strong ability to analyze and solve problems.
Strong interpersonal teamwork skills, yet able to perceive needs and work independently.
Data-driven problem-solving approach, including root cause analysis
Experience and knowledge of laboratory practices and testing various materials
Physical ability to complete job duties, which may include standing for long periods, working in a space that lacks climate control, or lifting objects with an established maximum weight.
Must be able to travel as needed
Must be a US citizen


Responsibilities

The Metallurgist & Chemical Engineer will report to the CTO and will be responsible for developing and scaling metallurgical processes related to the production and processing of soft magnetic powders.
Develop and support the documentation and filing of intellectual property based upon novel concepts developed
Stay informed of latest external technology developments related to soft magnetic materials and support senior leadership in developing strategies to address threats and opportunities
·Train and provide assistance and guidance to less experienced personnel related to materials properties and processing
Track and continuously improve manufacturing processes through application of statistical methods and design of experiments
Maintain a safe working environment by upholding current policies and procedures and contributing to the development of new standards as the company grows
Perform all other duties as required


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
