The Nondestructive Testing Engineer in the Materials and Fabrication Centre of Expertise (COE) will support PLM, NPD and research and development initiatives, focusing on Simplification, Standardisation, and Industrialisation (SSI) of materials and fabrication processes. This role will assist various projects across TechnipFMC, ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency, and innovation. The Nondestructive Engineer will also provide customer support to both internal and external stakeholders. Requires multiple Level II NDT Certifications (MT, PT, RT, UT) or at least one Level III Certification in NDT discipline. Eight to ten years relevant manufacturing experience in specialized area or product line(s), or MS degree plus six to eight years manufacturing experience, or PhD degree plus five to seven years manufacturing experience. Must have strong knowledge of quality auditing techniques and documentation requirements and demonstrate the ability to perform a technical audit of internal or external processes. Good organization and project planning skills. Proven leadership ability. Demonstrates proficiency in mentoring, thinking creatively and project planning. Shares opinions, ideas and resources with others to achieve common goals; fosters teamwork and collaboration, builds trust. Knowledge of API and industry standards related to NDT.
Job Description
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nondestructive Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in materials and fabrication processes.
Strong knowledge of nondestructive engineering and testing processes & technologies, material properties, testing methods, and fabrication techniques.
Experience with advanced fabrication techniques and knowledge of corrosion and sour grade materials.
Understanding of the full delivery scope (SURF, SPS, and Services) of iEPCI projects
Strong interpersonal skills and creative problem-solving skills in a wide range of applications.
Committed and demonstrates strong self-determination while being able to take direction and follow-up with details.
Strong interest in new technology and its application on projects
