JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Operations Coordinator
Reports to: Controller

POSITION SUMMARY:
Operations Coordinator will be responsible for dispatching loads, tracking various compliance requirements, and assist where needed in operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Coordinate and plan daily loads. Communicate effectively and professionally with drivers, product supply vendors, and other staff.
•Determine the most efficient and cost-effective routes considering factors such as distance, product supply, and delivery schedules.
•Assist in resolving delivery-related issues promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
•Proactively identify potential issues or obstacles in the transportation process and assist with implementing effective solutions to minimize disruptions and ensure on-time deliveries.
•Maintain driver files, asset files, and other operation-related files.
•Track daily, weekly, monthly metrics. Distribute data as needed.
•Create purchase orders and other documents as needed in NetSuite.
•Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation flow, addressing, and resolving any logistical challenges that arise.
•Answer phone and communicate via email in a professional manner.
•Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
•High School Diploma or GED required.
•Associates degree preferred.
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transportation functions preferred.
•Knowledge in the storage, handling, and transport of hazardous materials; experience in hazmat certifications preferred.
•Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and PHMSA transportation regulations preferred.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
•Must be organized and accurate.
•Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
•Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
•Able to listen and communicate effectively.
