Outside Sales Representative

Pay: $62,847.00 - $101,013.50 Annually
Summary:
Oregon Metal Services is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to develop and manage sales activities in an assigned market. The ideal candidate will have experience in flat rolled products, laser processing, and sales development skills for creating new accounts and growing existing ones. The majority of our products are steel.
Key Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement sales plans and strategies to achieve maximum sales profitability and market penetration.
•Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers through electronic communication and face-to-face visits.
•Expand business with existing customers and develop new business relationships.
•Coordinate with warehouse operations to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of customer orders.
•Manage customer relationships assuring their product and service satisfaction.
•Travel throughout the assigned territory to solicit orders and engage with customers.
•Stay knowledgeable about Seaport Steel's products and services, market conditions, competitor activities, and customer needs
Qualifications:
•Proven experience in flat rolled products, laser processing, and sales development.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
•Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•Proficiency in using electronic communication platforms and Microsoft Excel.
•Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Education/Experience
•Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability
•Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
•Ability to write reports and create business correspondence.
•Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers.
