P4 Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Overview:

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and optimization of diverse grid connected hardware solutions. As an experienced engineer, the P4 role involves providing technical leadership on complex projects and processes, mentoring less experienced engineers, and solving advanced engineering challenges. This role includes collaboration with cross-functional teams, driving innovation, and ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of performance, efficiency, safety and regulatory compliance. Qualifications:

Experience or familiarity with the following is a plus:

o VHDL/Verilog experience for programming CPLD or FPGA devices

o Writing C code for microcontrollers and digital signal processors

o High-voltage and high-power applications, including safety isolation, gate drives, current sensors, magnetic components, and isolated communications

o Exposure to environmentally hardened Industrial rated product development

o Knowledge of communication protocols for ethernet/PoE, CAN, I2C and RS-232

o IPC, UL/Safety, and EMC standards.

o Power electronics topologies and components

o Electrical distribution grid and AC power distribution

o Familiarity with system level power management for applications such as energy storage systems, DC Microgrids, and EV charging
