Tanker Driver Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced frameless dump trailer driver/operator for PA trips, Landfill experience beneficial; a clean Class A license; local/regional trucking; interstate truck driving. Weekend availability is a must.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Self-starter.

Schedule / logistics input.

Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel receipts.

Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.

Reports defects, accidents or violations.

Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.

Dump at designated locations.

Ensure trailer is completely empty by using vibrator, shovel and broom.

Skills:

CDL A License with Tanker Endorsement.

Must be able to lift 75 lbs.

Must have a DOT medical card.

Legible handwriting/accurately completed paperwork.

Must be organized.

Must participate in background check as per company policy.

Must be able to speak and understand the English language.

Mechanically inclined.

Proven work experience as a dump trailer operator/driver.

Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.

No recent moving or driving violations.

Hands-on experience with electronic equipment such as a GPS.

Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).

License/Certification:

Tanker Endorsement (Required)

CDL A with Tanker Endorsement (Required)

Pay: $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 70 per week.
