Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

•

Prepare, submit, and track applications for required permits to support well plugging operations.

•

Prepare, submit, and track date-sensitive post-plugging reports to ensure timely and accurate completion.

•

Stay updated on industry regulations, permitting requirements, and environmental guidelines.

•

Communicate with regulatory bodies, landowners, mineral owners, and stakeholders to facilitate timely permit approvals.

•

Maintain accurate records of permit applications, approvals, renewals, and compliance documentation.

•

Assist project teams in understanding permit requirements, timelines, and compliance obligations.

•

Address permitting challenges and work with internal and external teams to resolve regulatory obstacles.

Qualifications:

•

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Regulatory Affairs, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).

•

2+ years of experience in permitting, regulatory compliance, or environmental project coordination, ideally in the oil & gas industry.

•

Strong understanding of state and federal well-plugging regulations (EPA, state-level environmental agencies, etc.) specific to assigned state of responsibility.

•

Ability to adapt to changing industry trends and organizational priorities.

•

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

•

Excellent communication and negotiation skills when working with regulatory agencies.

•

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple permit applications simultaneously.

•

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GIS mapping tools, and permitting databases (preferred).

•

Demonstrated willingness and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools that support overall plugging objectives.
