Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and safety regulations. Experience is required from the GC side or running self-performing crews, along with subcontractors.
Duties
•
Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.
•
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers to maintain project schedules.
•
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.
•
Utilize construction management software, Procore, for project tracking and reporting.
•
Review blueprints and plans to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
•
Implement OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
•
Troubleshoot issues that arise during construction, utilizing tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical work as needed.
•
Maintain clear communication with project stakeholders regarding timelines, changes, and any challenges encountered.
Requirements
•
Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
•
Strong knowledge of construction processes, quality control measures, and safety regulations (OSHA).
•
Proficiency in using construction management software including Procore and Bluebeam for document management.
•
Ability to read and interpret blueprints effectively.
•
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
•
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
•
Familiarity with tools is a plus.
•
A degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
