Position TitleWe are seeking a Quality Professional responsible for site specific safety and environmental compliance with Harvest and customer requirements. This role will travel 80% of the time working closely with onsite Harvest Solar project management, customer’s Safety representative, and subcontractors to ensure all work is completed to established requirements. The role reports to the Safety and Quality Superintendent located at our headquarters in Jackson, Michigan.
SalarySalary is commensurate with related knowledge, skills and experience, the salary range for this role is $62,500.00 to $67,000.00 USD annually. An Annual Bonus Target representing 3% of your annual base salary/annual wages is paid based on meeting both organizational and individual targets.
Purpose of PositionUnder the direction of the Safety/Quality Superintendent and working with and through the Harvest Solar management team, ensures compliance with safety and quality requirements. Quality Professional is responsible for site specific safety and quality compliance with Harvest and customer requirements. The Quality Professional will work closely with Onsite Harvest Solar project management, customer’s representatives, and subcontractors to ensure all work is completed to established requirements.
Major Responsibilities of Position•Ensure a “Safe and Quality Focused Culture” through employee engagement.
•Advise Onsite Management on workmanship and quality concerns and corrective actions.
•Assist in planning, developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving quality policies and procedures in compliance with company and industry standards.
•Maintain quality records including incident inspection reports, testing reports, etc.
•Work with project management teams and field workers to implement solutions to quality-related issues on project sites.
•Record and document inspection results and compare to expected results.
•Detect and record quality failures so that defects may be corrected.
•Assist in preparing quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
•Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
•Detect and record quality failures so that defects may be corrected.
•Travel to project sites to oversee construction and assist with service of product.
•Complete daily inspections within company software (NetSuite, Procore) with reports and photos.
•Ensure mechanical and electrical components meet company standards, per drawings and project specifications, and relevant regulatory codes.
•Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues and safety risks.
•Assist in commissioning of system components (inverters, DAS and SCADA equipment).
•Assist in testing of system components (IV curve testing, witness testing).
•Validation of testing data (Voc testing, Isc testing).
•Other duties as assigned.

Educational and Certification Background•High school diploma or GED, required.
•One to four years’ experience coordinating quality programs required; experience in construction environment preferred. Bachelor’s degree in quality, management, or related field, preferred.
•Valid State Driver’s License, required. Ability to obtain CDL certification, preferred.
•NABCEP or ASQ certification, preferred.

•Commercial Construction Setting 80% of the time: Job Site terrain and outdoor work with exposure to weather fluctuations in addition to construction site hazards.
•Travel Required 80% of the time: Position supports job site activities therefore daily and overnight travel is required. Harvest values our employees work life balance and whenever possible, overnight travel is Monday through Friday. Hotel and transportations costs are covered. Additionally, per diem is paid for overnight stays.

Immediately after Hire:
•Nine Paid Holidays per Year. Including: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve.
•Paid Vacation: Vacation time is accrued each week at a rate of .924 to achieve 48 hours in the calendar year. Unused vacation can be paid out and/or up to 40 unused hours can be rolled over at year end.
•Paid Time Off (PTO): 72 Hours are available each year on January 1. PTO Is available to assist you in managing your time off work for personal appointments. PTO does not rollover, nor is it paid out at the end of the year, unused PTO is forfeited. In the first year of employment available hours are prorated based on your date of hire.

•Group Life Insurance: $50,000.00 of group life insurance, with and Accident Death clause. Premiums are covered by Harvest Solar
•Group Short Term Disability: 60% of your earnings, with a $1,000.00 weekly maximum, are available for injury or illness after a seven-day waiting period. Premiums are covered by Harvest Solar.
•Voluntary Supplemental Programs: Accident, Critical illness, and Hospital Indemnity are available at the associate’s expense. Plans are organized through Allstate and premiums are paid through payroll deduction.
The First of the Month After 90-Days of Employment:
Harvest Solar 401k Plan: Associates are auto enrolled at a 3% deferral rate. The plan is administered by Vestwell. Auto enrolled contribution is invested in a “Retire-On-Time” plan. Once enrolled, the associate may make changes that include:
•Increasing the Deferral Rate to the Applicable IRS Limits: A company match is available. When the associate defers 3%, Harvest Solar matches 3%. When the associate defers 4%, the Harvest Solar the first 3.5%. When the associate defers 5%, Harvest Solar matches the first 4%.
•Changing the Account Type: Both a pre-tax and Roth account is available.
•Changing the Investment Type: The plan offers standard plans to address risk or age of retirement, or the associate can customize their own investment.
