Position Overview:

We are currently hiring a Sample Preparation Technician to support our mining and processing operations. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely handling and delivery of samples across various operational sites. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and capable of performing physically demanding work in varied environmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

•

Work safely in both indoor and outdoor environments, including hot, cold, dusty, or dirty conditions.

•

Operate light-duty vehicles (½-ton to 1-ton trucks) to transport samples, materials, and documents between mines, shops, labs, and offices.

•

Routinely lift 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs under job demands.

•

Follow established routes for sample pickup and delivery.

•

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.

•

Accurately weigh, record, and prepare samples for analysis, including drying and size reduction of bulk material.

•

Keep clear, accurate records of sample weights, measures, and handling steps.

•

Deliver and collect physical documents and small packages as needed.

•

Follow all company policies, procedures, and instructions from supervisors.

•

Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.

Required Qualifications:

•

Valid driver’s license required.

•

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

•

Experience in industrial, mining, or materials handling environments is a plus.

•

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and complete tasks with accuracy.

•

Comfortable working around heavy equipment and within an active mining environment.

•

Strong attention to detail, communication, and time management skills.

Working Conditions:

•

Must be able to work in physically demanding environments with varying temperatures and weather conditions.

•

Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and transporting of materials.

•

Exposure to coal, dust, and related materials.
