Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sandblaster to join our team. Employee will be responsible for blasting prep work (taping off, covering, etc.) and sandblasting steel products to pre determined parameters. This position requires attention to detail. Understanding & following safety codes within the yard and facility is a must.
Duties
•
Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prep steel for paint application.
•
Prepare work areas by setting up necessary tools and equipment, ensuring all safety measures are in place.
•
Inspect surfaces before and after sandblasting to ensure quality standards are met.
•
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to protect oneself and others from hazards associated with sandblasting.
•
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
•
Previous experience in sandblasting or a related field is preferred, Minimum one year experience.
•
Knowledge of safety practices related to sandblasting operations is essential.
•
Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
•
Good physical stamina, as the role requires standing for long periods and lifting materials up to 50 pounds.
•
Communication skills and proper understanding of tasks given
Shift
•
Monday - Friday, 6:00-2:30
•
All work at Red Deer County Facility
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
