The Senior Data Scientist serves as a lead technical expert for analytics requests, leveraging multi-disciplinary expertise in mathematics & statistics, finance, computer science, and machine learning to solve complex problems beyond the scope of a typical analytics specialist. This role, with direction from management, leads high-value initiatives and provides strategic insights across the organization.

The analyses coming from this role will directly impact critical business areas, including creating models to optimize trading strategies and achieve aggressive performance targets and delivering insights used by senior leadership, trading, commercial valuations, risk, accounting, strategic planning, retail, and generation teams to enhance decision-making.

Education required:* Masters in STEM subject with strong math, business, and computer science focus required

Qualifications and experience:* Minimum 8 years related industry and technical experience

Competencies:* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify and convey complex topics to non-technical leaders

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
