Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the Mechanical Process Group. This position will design mechanical systems for the Food Process industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•

Candidate will engineer and design all of mechanical building utility systems including but not limited to steam, chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, medical gasses, and plumbing.

•

Candidate will be familiar with all applicable code requirements.

•

Candidate will be familiar with all aspects of the fast-track construction process of Design-Build.

•

Candidate will be familiar with specifying of equipment i.e. Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Fans, Air Handling Units, etc.

•

Candidate will mentor less experienced engineers.

Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

•

10+ years of experience.

•

Licensed Professional Engineer is a plus.

•

Self-motivated and committed to learn.

•

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

•

Autodesk AutoCAD proficiency is a plus.

•

Specific interest in a career in designing Utility-HVAC-Plumbing systems using the Design-Build approach.

•

Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
