Assist shop technicians in the repair and overhaul of industrial natural gas engines.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
•Works well with his co-workers
•Must be able to cooperate
•Assists in the repair of shop and/or field work
•Must do service reports, timecards, and other paperwork in a legible, understandable manner
•Assist the Class A, B and Journeyman Mechanic where required and observe closely to gain additional knowledge
•Must take advantage of any and all service schools and training programs that are offered by the company
•Promote good welfare among the company and its’ divisions
•Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
•Must have GED, High School Diploma, trade school or special service training preferred
•Technical background or related experience in engine maintenance and repair preferred
Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s):
•Must have a working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its’ objectives
•Must meet goals and objectives set forth by the company
•Must conform to company policies and procedures set forth by the company
•Must have a current driver’s license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance carrier standard if driving company vehicle
•Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirement as outlined by the Department of Transportation
•Must be computer literate, a Windows based environment preferred (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook)
•Must be dependable and able to work independently
•Must be able to lift 50 pounds
•Must be able to bend and twist several times a day
•Must have the ability to work flexible hours and days
•Must maintain good client relations
•Must maintain a professional appearance
•Must promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment
•Must have the ability to effectively operate basic shop equipment
•Must have basic set of hand tools
•Must have basic engine knowledge
•Must protect the company assets and interests
Working Conditions:
•Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
•Weekend hours as necessary
•Outside work as required

Pay: From $14.60 per hour
