Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Assistant to join our team in an advanced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the production process by assisting with various tasks, including assembly, fabrication, and the operation of power tools. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

•

Assist in the assembly of products using hand tools and power tools.

•

Operate machinery and equipment safely, including forklifts when necessary.

•

Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to ensure timely production.

•

Maintain a clean and organized workspace within the shop or warehouse.

•

Fabricate components as needed, following specifications and quality standards.

•

Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning.

•

Maintain cleanliness of shop

•

Light driving

Skills

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT 50 POUNDS AND BE ON YOUR FEET

MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVING RECORD

•

Proficient in using power tools and hand tools for assembly tasks.

•

Familiarity with assembly line processes in a factory setting.

•

Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic issues with equipment.

•

Experience operating forklifts is preferred but not required; training may be provided.

•

Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing facility environment, adhering to safety protocols.

•

Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

•

Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
