Overview
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Sorter/Packer. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient handling, sorting, and distribution of laser cut parts within our facility. This position is crucial to ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and that parts progress to second stage processing in a timely manner.
Duties
•
Safely and efficiently load material onto laser table & unload finished parts once laser process is complete
•
Sort packages by customer & work order number
•
Ensure part count by cross referencing work order & laser nest setup-plan
•
Label parts by customer, work order number, part number, and quantity
•
Assist in laser operation and fill in for laser operators as needed
•
Assist in inventory management by tracking package counts and reporting discrepancies.
•
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts
Qualifications
•
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
•
Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 40 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
•
Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and handling of parts
•
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is a plus but not mandatory.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
