Job Description Summary
Responsible for providing guidance and training and will facilitate projects to achieve sustained improvements to critical manufacturing, transactional, and operational processes. Ensure projects are aligned with regional and corporate strategic goals and manage projects to ensure completion to schedule.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
•Manage projects and prioritize targeted areas of opportunity across the company for eliminating waste and reducing variation.
•Provide training, leadership, and support for improvement events across all levels of the organization.
•Maintain and keep current detailed project plans.
•Motivate and direct cross-functional teams to achieve desired results through skillful application of the Lean methodologies.
•Apply lean manufacturing and six sigma concepts in manufacturing and transactional process settings.
•Develop standards of work, templates and training programs.
•Acts as a key liaison for site regarding alignment with the corporate Goal Deployment Process.
•Collaborates with leadership in the selection, prioritization and deployment of projects and improvement events.
•Identifies opportunities for improvement, develops a project plan for implementing improvements, and monitors the revised process to ensure it meets objectives.
•Conducts regularly scheduled project reviews to ensure the achievement of expected results.
•Measures and monitors quality, cost reduction, and schedule metrics.
•Coordinates, collects, and reports project results for the organization.
•Conducts advanced data collection and analysis for projects.
•Performs other related duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
•BS degree in engineering, science, business, or related field preferred and 2 years’ experience implementing Lean tools to achieve improvement preferred.
•Demonstrated change management expertise and ability to influence and gain commitment at all organizational levels. Positively transform the organizational culture to adapt to improved processes and performance metrics.
•Strong analytical skills used to keep projects on track, overcome barriers, and deliver results.
•Comfortable working in both manufacturing, operations, and office environments.
•Experience leading groups and influencing at all levels of the organization.
•Experience with multiple disciplines such as manufacturing, engineering, or quality.
•Demonstrated project management, organization, and planning skills.
•Strong technical writing skills.
•Proficient user in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
•Sensitive to confidential information.
•Must work independently and as a member of team.
