Survey Technician I – 1195
Project Overview - Client is launching a pilot project in 2025 to survey its natural gas system using Advanced Mobile Leak Detection (AMLD) technology. This project involves two fleet units equipped with AMLD technology to detect gas leaks more effectively during nighttime hours.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Operating AMLD Vehicles: The main duty is to drive AMLD-equipped vehicles to survey designated areas of the natural gas system.
•Following Maps: Drivers will follow specific maps provided by Client to ensure comprehensive coverage of the survey areas.
•Nighttime Surveys: Surveys must be conducted after dark to obtain better readings of potential gas leaks.
•Process: Vehicle Pickup: Drivers will collect the vehicles from the nearest Client Service Center.
•Survey Execution: They will turn on the equipment, drive to the mapped area, and conduct the survey.
•Data Collection: The primary task is to collect data; no technical analysis is required from the drivers. V
•Vehicle Return: After completing the survey, drivers will return the vehicles to the service center and plug them in to charge.
•Interaction with Other Teams: Gas Dispatch Team: In case of an alarm indicating a significant leak, drivers must stop and contact the gas dispatch team, who will handle the situation.
•Natural Gas Emergency Responders: Available 24/7 to respond to any critical alarms.
•Deliverables: Survey Data Collection: Accurate and thorough data collection during each survey run.
•Alarm Reporting: Immediate reporting of any alarms to the gas dispatch team.
•Vehicle Maintenance: Ensuring vehicles are returned to the service center and properly charged after each shift
Requirements:
•Driving Experience: Preference is given to candidates with experience in delivery driving jobs, such as those with Amazon, UPS, or USPS. Familiarity with the following routes and maps is essential.
•Map and Navigation Skills: Ability to follow maps and navigate delivery areas effectively. Experience using navigation software like Google Maps or Apple Maps is beneficial, as it is like the Picaro software used in this role.
•Technology Proficiency: Experience using tablets and specific software applications, including Picaro, AMLD leak survey software, and PQ software.
•The role involves using a tablet equipped with these tools to conduct surveys.
•Valid Driver's License and Background Check: Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check and security clearance.
•Familiarity with Denver Metro Area: While not mandatory, familiarity with driving around the Denver metro area, particularly starting in the Arvada area, is a plus.
