Role Summary/Purpose
The Technical Sales Analyst will be a critical member of the sales team to provide technical support resources, it is a key role in interfacing operations, sales and our channel partners. In this role, the individual will make decisions and drive actions to resolve issues preventing completion of quotes and orders on time under their care.
Essential Responsibilities
•Assist inside sales with lead qualifications to obtain the necessary information for a quotation or communicate the needs for additional details as needed with channel partners.
•Review project specifications or application to select configuration of product offering.
•Collaborate with appropriate team members to determine a strategic sales approach, establish pricing and required technical specifications for project applications.
•Assist inside sales by providing technical customer proposals, including detailed description, specifications, and submittal information.
•Work as a liaison between supply chain and manufacturing to improve forecasting and sourcing efforts based on market trends.
•Track quotes and track wins/loses to gain market intelligence, and customer needs.
•Manage opportunities and customer data in CRM database.
•Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
•Attend periodic sales training.
•Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
•Ability to read and interpret specifications, approval drawings and bills of materials is required.
•Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college / or 2-4 years of inside or outside sales experience preferred
•Experience in at a distribution channel, utility or municipality
•ERP Experience is strongly preferred (ERPLX/Epicor)
•Microsoft Office experience required (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.)
•Experience with CRM (Monday / Hubspot) a plus
•Knowledge of Quote & Order Management processes
•Ability to work independently & efficiently in a fast passed market
•Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
