Summary:

Marathon Petroleum Company, LP is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Administrative Assistant to support the Transport & Rail Department, specifically focused on the Ohio East Fleets. This role provides a wide range of administrative and operational support to departmental leadership and team members. The ideal candidate will be professional, adaptable, and capable of handling confidential information with integrity.


Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Canton Fleet leadership & personnel.
Perform general office duties, including data entry, document filing, scheduling meetings, and managing calendars.
Coordinate and manage employee payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
Prepare purchase requests/orders and code invoices to support departmental operations.
Manage inventory of office and operational supplies; place orders as needed.
Help organize and support team meetings, departmental events, and community engagement activities.
Maintain controlled documents and records for Transport & Rail operations.
Assist with SharePoint site updates and internal communication tools.
Participate in ongoing projects and provide administrative support as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Previous administrative support experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
