Overview

Greenway Industries of NJ, LLC ("Greenway") is looking for a reliable and safety-oriented plant laborer to support the daily operations of our asphalt plant. This role is essential for maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment. The plant laborer performs a variety of manual labor tasks including plant maintenance, cleanup, and assisting with the operation of equipment to ensure smooth plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

•

Perform general labor duties such as shoveling, sweeping and cleaning around the plant.

•

Assist in the setup, maintenance and repair of plant equipment and components.

•

Monitor material flow and help ensure consistent operation of conveyors and hoppers.

•

Assist loader operators and plant crew as needed to maintain production efficiency.

•

Inspect work areas for safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

•

Handle tools, materials and small equipment as directed by Plant Manager.

•

Perform lubrication, greasing and other basic maintenance tasks on plant machinery.

•

Communicate any issues or equipment malfunctions to Plant Manager.

Qualifications

•

High school diploma or GED or related experience.

•

Previous experience in construction, paving or plant operations is a plus.

•

Ability to perform physical labor in a demanding outdoor environment.

•

Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow instructions precisely.

•

Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as required.

•

Legally authorized to work in the US.

•

Able to understand and respond to written and verbal English.

•

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

•

Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and a drug and alcohol screen test.

Working Conditions

•

Work is performed outdoors in all weather and temperatures.

•

Requires standing, lifting, climbing and bending for extended periods of time and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

•

Schedule may include early mornings, overtime, weekends and holidays depending on production needs.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
