Assembly Supervisor - 1st Shift

Under the general direction of the Operations Manager this position will be responsible to lead a team in assembling fabricated and purchased goods into a final assembly, to ensure the quality of said product, and to deliver the product accurately and completely to the warehouse.

The Supervisor will be responsible for a defined geographical area within the plant, the associated team members as well as managing materials and information associated with work-in-process (WIP) components and finished goods.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Ownership of all WIP fabricated parts, subassemblies, and finished goods + Responsibility for understanding and disseminating part prints. + Interpretation and dissemination of daily ship schedule

- Must deliver products to the customer (internal or external) 100% on time within all quality and cost constraints.

+ Ownership of all safety + Always maintaining an accurate part count + Ensuring a DAILY communication chain back to manufacturing for what parts are needed and when they’re needed. + Ensure all parts remain within assigned area and only the assigned area. + Ensure all product quality within assigned area of control.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Proven ability to establish and lead others towards a deadline.

Effective interpersonal skills

Proven management and organizational skills

Knowledge of product design and function to optimize product quality and manufacturing costs.

Process knowledge of forming, fabrication, paint, welding, and material handling in a Manufacturing environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED

2-3 years manufacturing experience

2 years supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
