An Assistant Controller supports the Controller in managing an organization's financial accounting and reporting. Their responsibilities include assisting with financial reporting, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, performing financial analyses, and streamlining accounting processes.Key Responsibilities:
•Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for consolidated company as well as real estate holdings.
•Budgeting and Forecasting: Participate in the creation of budgets and financial forecasts, and analyze variances against budget.
•Accounting Process Management: Oversee daily accounting activities, ensure accuracy of financial records, and implement process improvements. Document all accounting procedures and create SOPs for all accounting functions
•Compliance and Regulation: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, regulations, and internal controls.
•Auditing Support: Assist with external audits, including preparing documentation and supporting audit procedures.
•Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, cost analysis, and trend analysis.
•Team Leadership: Supervise and train accounting personnel as needed.
•Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
Qualifications:
•Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
•Experience: 3-5 years of accounting experience, including experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
•Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in accounting software.
