POSITION SUMMARY

The Coatings Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day field operations concerning surface preparations and coatings application. This includes planning work activities, providing daily work schedules, assigning specific individual task, ensuring quality workmanship and maintaining a safe working environment. This role ensures that all procedures are followed and that all assigned employees are performing their duties as directed.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Have an unwavering commitment to Safety
Managing company & customer assets, including personnel, during on-site blasting & painting operations.
Performing QA/QC functions in blasting & painting areas of operations ensuring quality workmanship.
Attending, participating and conducting pre-job meetings.
Attending, participating and conducting safety meetings.
Preparing, analyzing and making necessary modifications to JSEA's.
Assisting in and/or directing complete job loadouts.
Mentoring personnel while providing on-the-job training.
Understand, analyze and decipher safety policies & procedures, coating specifications, scopes of work and project schedules while strategizing & communicating project goals & expectations with the crew.
Ensuring good housekeeping is being performed through-out the entire project - inside & outside.
Demonstrates strong adherence to Company policies and procedures, as well as Company values
Perform other duties as assigned by manager and/or supervisor


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent education
HUET certified
Valid TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card)
Basic written and verbal skills
Must be willing and able to work a 12-16hour shift per day for the duration of a 14/7 offshore schedule
Must be able to work from swinging scaffolding
Must be able to wear proper PPE/dust mask and/or paint paint
Ability to perform work accurately
Must be reliable and have good time management skills
Physically and mentally fit
Manlift and forklift certified
Must have a clear understanding of how to navigate and decipher the contents of an SDS book
Operational knowledge of, and the ability to troubleshoot, all blasting and painting tools and equipment
Ability to work productively in adverse conditions
For new hires, must meet all Performance Energy Services employment qualifications in force at time of hiring, including successful completion of a background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
For new hires, must successfully complete all required training by Performance Energy Services
